Bradford Watermelons cooling in the shade of our front porch resting on our old jogglin’ board. These big boys are raised in the best melon soil in the south with no biocides ever! These hardy melons have never been irrigated in 170 years of cultivation. They have become a part of our land, mining the soil for both water and nutrients. This year is a landmark year as well. This is the first year in nearly 75 years that they’ve been grown without synthetic fertilizers, only livestock manures. Can’t wait to chomp down!
